Try Jail Road Kharode & Kunna Meat At This Punjabi Restaurant In Saket
It’s easy to get your hands on the latest offbeat food in the time that we live in. But to find traditional comfort food can become a task. To make things easier for us, Punjab Grill has introduced their special winter menu with a smart selection of dishes. Here is all you need to know about the Winter menu at Punjab Grill.
In A Nutshell
The latest addition to Punjab Grill’s Menu will have you in a spot because there is so much to choose from. There are options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, obviously. But the interesting part is that all of them use traditional recipes and cooking techniques that people have been using for many years in the villages of Punjab. From the spiced-up and tangy Kanji to the famous Jail Road Kharode, the winter menu features many local dishes to enjoy. A lot of desi ghee will find its way on your plate to keep you warm and cosy during the winter season.

We visited the Punjab Grill in Citywalk Saket and had a really good time. The staff is courteous and the food is brilliant. Punjab Grill is the perfect place to take your family for a desi meal.
Raise A Glass To
The winter menu has it’s very own coolers to pick from and we tried their Kali Gajar “Kaanji” and loved it. Beetroot was the star of the drink and I guess it did prep us for the feast that followed. Just remember, it’s really sour, so take your time to sip and enjoy that glass full of freshness.
On The Silver Platter
What we loved was their Methi Murgh. But surprisingly or not so surprisingly, the star of the entire meal was Bajre Di Khichdi, which just reminded us why simple yet delicious khichdis are pretty awesome. The khichdi comes with a good portion of jalebis and milk, which is a mouthful. We also loved their preparation of Gath Gobhi Di Tikki and we have to say, it was really tasty and offbeat!
The only thing that we didn’t enjoy was the Kunna Meat. It’s a great dish from Punjab where seasonal root vegetables such as carrots and turnip are cooked with lamb shanks in an earthen pot called kunna. The meat was a bit chewy and that was disappointing. But looking at the overall picture, it wasn’t really a deal breaker. We happily gave our feedback.
