No Events At India Gate From Now On?

No events or exhibitions will be happening around India Gate from on. This brutal step is taking place so that the greenery of these lawns can be maintained. Permission will be granted only for two lawns in the C-hexagon area opposite National Stadium. The area will no longer be widely accessible to movie makers or to any person for any events from now on.

One Last Hurrah?

The last event that will be allowed in this area is the World Food Festival and it is happening soon. It is being organised by the ministry of food processing in October. Permission for this event was obtained way before the new guidelines were issued this month. The new rules also don’t allow the booking of space behind Vigyan Bhawan on nearby Maulana Azad Road, which was always used for catering and parking facilities during events that were held at the India Gate lawns.
