A group of final-year engineering students from Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) of Manipal University, Karnataka have bagged first prize at a national finale of Ink Makers held at T-Hub in Hyderabad for inventing a pani puri dispensing machine.
We normally see one person behind the stall who is catering to all the people at one go and the task is tiring. By looking at the shortage of manpower at a local chaat wala is where the group of four students got an idea of doing something innovative like this. As told to Bangalore Mirror,”Coming up with the idea of making the entire process automated, the group realised that they could also tackle concerns over hygiene as well and hence decided to develop a machine and started working on the prototype,” said, Sahas who is one of the group members.
So, No More Bhaiya From Now Onwards?
However, it’s an automated vending machine which makes holes on the puris, fills it with the stuffing and dips it in the pani but it needs a person who can refill all the raw materials. The group suggested that the machine is ideal to be placed in shopping malls and complexes.
We are excited about the news and can’t wait for the commercial launch of these dispensers.
