The Elements:

8 cloves of garlic

½ cup grated dry coconut

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

1 tablespoon roasted peanuts

Dry roast the grated dry coconut in the same pan until it turns light brown in colour. Remove and set aside as well.

Now dry roast the sesame seeds until they begin to pop. This should take no longer than 30 seconds. Remove and set aside.

Now add the roasted garlic, dry coconut and sesame seeds in a blender along with the roasted peanuts, coriander powder, tamarind paste, red chili powder, and salt. Grind until a medium coarse powder is obtained, and add more salt if required.
